Hydro Crystal Technology (HCT) is the process for using super absorbent polymer crystals inside our cooling apparel. Chill Factor Clothing is unique because it is the only product line that maximizes the use of polymer crystals for ultimate cooling.

When you soak your Chill Factor Clothing in cold water, the HCT inside will absorb water and swell to over 400 times its original dry weight and size. The crystals are transformed into a cooling gel after full absorption.

The water inside the cooling gel evaporates gradually, giving you a cooling sensation throughout the day. The gel will stay cold for 2-4 hours and can be cooled again throughout the day by dipping or soaking in ice cold water.

The water inside the crystals will eventually evaporate and the crystals will return to the solid state. The crystals are not damaged by the constant use and they can be used to keep you cool thousands of times.

Caring for your cooling product is easy. To clean, just soak in cold water for 20 minutes, and then hand wash with mild detergent. Hang to dry. The polymer crystals in HCT (Acrylamide Acrylate Potassium Copolymer) were developed over 30 years ago and they are proven way to keep cool in the heat. WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
Soak in clean water at least 20 minutes before washing. Hand wash with mild detergent. Hang dry. Do not launder in a washing machine or dryer. To prevent mildew, do not leave products in closed containers for extended periods of time.
